Experience
In the United States, Dr.
Davies served as Professor of Management and International Business at Mercer
University, Distinguished Visiting Professor of Policy and Strategy at Golden
Gate University, and Visiting Professor of International Business at the
University of Colorado. He has also
held Visiting Scholar and Visiting Professor appointments at universities in
Singapore, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia and China.
At these universities he taught management, strategy and international business
in undergraduate, masters, MBA and doctoral programs; and did research and
advised doctoral candidates. He also
taught in executive programs, including the International Marketing Institute
program at Harvard Business School.
He
served on the Forum on Exemplary Teaching at the American Association of Higher
Education; and was a member of the board of directors of the American Associaton
of University Administrators and chair of its Professional Standards Committee.
He served as Consultant to the President at Tufts University, as Director
of the Latin-American and Asia-American Teaching Fellowships programs at Tufts
and Harvard Universities, and as Dean of the School of Management at Golden Gate
University.
